Life Adventures for Miles

It's been a heck of a half a year(ish). We were all set for Japan and it didn't go nowhere (thank you recent diagnoses!) so while we physically didn't have to move (we were lucky with the housing),  emotionally and mentally...and financially, we were all  topsy-turvy. It took me longer to manage life and yet, here we go again! This time, it will be public school for a Luna, and a Luna less house for me. The husband only changed offices when we stayed on, so he seems to have the easiest change up. I recognized a few more things (or a few things again) while life managing : Even when I feel "settled" even the smallest detail can spin me about...which means my perspective concept has more to grasp yet. Home again home again, Jiggity-jig! We spent Christmas/new years with family back in the south west (USA). It was cool and rainy for the most part but we did get some sunny warm days which was nice. The trip there we went along interstate 20 going west and I got to stop and quite a few pretty antique shops along the way (too many according to the rest of the peeps since they were bored and we had to hustle towards the end of our drive). Stopping in towns along the way and having a meal or bed is, I realize, a good starter to get the feel if the place. The goal was to stop before or right after the borders of the state (expect Texas- that was too big for just one stop) and we sort of did that...mostly. Ooh but the favorite of the trip down was the private owned ghost town of Shaskpeare! It is in New Mexico and while it is only by group tours you get to see New Mexico in all it's late 19th century through the 20 and 21 century glory! So this month we decided to visit the NC Ren Fair on Veterans Day! Boy was that fun! Crowds upon crowds upon crowds! Als, I also seem to remember the turkey leg, but never seem to remember that I am not too fond of it. Of course we had great fun with the shows and performances and the artists (and their prices) with the tourist souvenirs (and their prices), however the greatest thing - for the five year old running our lives - was the rides and toys and playgrounds. She went wild and we spent all our money on that (hehe)! Over all it was a great day, we have friends, we got lost, we ate and most of all we (she) played. Lucky me, I got pictures to prove it! Yay!
