Eye exams and rainy fun

Image
Today is Marine corps bday (happy bday marine corps!). This morning was mostly normal. Lots of screen time, lots of toys and blocks. I convinced her to take a bath too which is always exciting (as opposed to dragging her in screaming), I suppose, the fact that I let her plastic paw patrols ( NOT bath) toys go in with her helped. While she was busy having fun with that, I decided to thin my mending/alterations pile (the jean jacket will now have flannel sleeves vs jean sleeves).  We were almost late to the eye appointment but we made it (luckily it was just across the street!). She did well (not screaming or crying it fussing at all), very talkative, though I am not real sure they (or I) understood all of it. However, after the first part (the routine eye chart and verification of results) the second part (violation, 40 min wait, and the one more doc exam), she was less interested in it all, still friendly and cooperative but more...squirmy/wiggly in the sense of I am done and soon will

Monday Messes

Today we had a fun day of messy living. blocks, paw patrol, pj masks, other stuffies, and blankets galore all with the background sound of the screens streaming Luna videos. She had a blast rearranging the furniture to suit her playing, usually making big spaces so she can spread out and her toys can travel from place to place. Come evening time, she decided it was dark enough to bustle about outside for a bit before claiming the living room again. As she found "daddy packages" and he opened them, the boxesz soon became her toys, first for monsters to scare her daddy then as a home for trick or treating and pup playing that naturally transitioned to building with her playmobil round blocks! Tomorrow is her eye appointment so we shall see if she gets glasses like her mama! Since she keeps stealing mine, I have no doubt she would enjoy them, heh.

Luna's first carnival!

This evening we went to the mini carnival in town! All they had was games and food open but it was fun to have such an experience. Luna legitimately won the pounding weight # game, I actually popped one balloon and she "shot" a successful basketball (by that I mean she missed every time and the lady made one for her) so 3 prizes it was. We did a fourth game and I think she had more fun toss g those rings at the bottles than actually winning (we didn't get a prize for that one as we didn't make any rings on any bottles). Then she played for a bit outside the bookstore before we headed home.
