A Katja Creation story

I wasn't up for much today so we didn't anything too active. Screen time, and blocks. I worked on making videos. My editing skills take me a lot longer then I thought!

Enjoy this little creation story I wrote this weekend!

“I have a story for your child, much like other stories you've heard. However, you must listen and listen well, for it may one day serve you when you least expect it.”

“A story grandpa! For me? Oh, thank you!”

“There was a planet much like this. The planet had a job to do, and do it they did for every new cycle, the planet grew and grew. First, it formed its own armor for its fiery soul. As it armed itself, it found its thirst quenched in the form of water.”

“Water, water all around, and all of it to drink!” The little girl giggled.

“Yes, my child. And as it drank and soaked it's new plated armor it discovers pockets and puckers and oh how it creaked and crackled while it grew! Until one day, these pockets and puckers found homes on the water's surface. Cycles came and went, the newly formed land found their comforts. Some sweltering hot and others icy cold. Some preferred to stay right where they surfaced from their trip beneath the waters. Still, others raced higher and higher as far as they dared.”

“Is that why we have deserts and mountains and snowy ice, grandpa?”

“So they say. The planet was very pleased with its work and yet with every cycle and every change, it grew more and more lonely.  Soon, with every cycle, it wished for others to come and join it. Splash in its waters, and run on its land, and even fly in its atmosphere. With every wish made, pieces of it's crusted armor formed its very one shine.”

“Shine?”

“Its magic, child. None of that Hocus Pocus, Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, but true magic, it's power and shine, manifested with hope, happiness, fear, excitement, and many more emotional wishes, besides.”

“Then did it find friends, grandpa?”

“Yes. At first great big hulking beasts, that chose their territory carefully. Beasts of fire and ice, of wind and speed. Beasts that prefer the depths of its waters and explored all of it's darkened caverns both high and low, land and sea. The planet was so happy it shared it's joy aloud, pulling in the moon and twirling about the sun. From these beasts, its descendants followed. And as every parent can attest, they soon discovered their own paths, migrating and roaming about freely until they discovered their comforts. Some say that's how we have so many different species accounted for past an present. With all evolution cycles, these descendants grew to accommodate their world and territories. Some lost their wings, some found themselves wanting to be closer to the top of the water rather than the seabed. Some found pleasure in all environments and grew features to accommodate them. Others chose to ignore the world at times and hide and some wanted to admire and be admired in return. And that my child is how the world was formed and found friends it could share its joy and fortune with. It's time to sleep now, dream of happy thoughts, shiny wishes, and good fortune, bring you safely back in the morning.”

“Good night!” The little girl yawned, closing her eyes; as she was tucked in, bearly registering the good night kiss on her forehead.
