Voltron: Legendary Defenders!

So today was another home day adventure. Luna played with her screens, her pups and her building blocks which led to outside fun with pup and pj masks playing and picnicking. Her big adventure was destroying a big bucket still mostly full of popcorn and trying to clean it up (playing more then actual sweeping, of course). Her wanting the big screen led into my main adventure today, however. While finally mending a pair of old pants of my other half's for me to wear, I got to netflix today and watch the full 8 seasons of Voltron: Legendary Defenders! So this is a animation show (Dreamworks) about, well, defending good and defeating evil. I was impressed that it was all very much a humanity evil, i.,e., the evil was explored into why they were "evil" and doing what they were doing which led to, yes, destroying them, but at the same time, absolving them of their mistakes which led to their ultimate acceptance and help in saving the worlds and realms around them. As this was a space good vs, evil show most of the episodes were fighting in space and for the planets they came across or fighting against. Voltron is made of of 5 "magic" (comic particles) lion robots and their palatins (warrior pilots) that are the superheroes of this universe and show. It started out with 4 humans who were trying to achieve success in their military space training (they were the "outcasts"-those that know their stuff but got in trouble a lot) finding one of the lions and a higher ranking military man inside crashing to earth with a sketchy memory of his time out in space. They decide to explore and investigate-without telling many or any one- and let the lion take them to his home. This leads to them meeting what was left of a race that created the lions...and the beginning of their career of universe superheroes. With every season you learn more and more about each character while they rise to the challenge of becoming the legendary defenders. The 8th and last season has them coming back to earth to defend it and defeat the last of the problematic "evil" family that sought to live forever and become this show's star wars version of an empire. I am a sucker for happy endings and what are they doing afterwards, so after the "good" (which evoked the whole sacrificing one for the many thing) wins the long lasting war, we get to see what the main characters are doing a year later and what they did with their life after saving the day. All in all a fun adventure space action animation with slight romance, true relationships of all kinds and types and of course saving the day.
